Course description

To improve your speaking skills, you need to train like a musician or athlete. This course gives you all the training material you need ‘find’ the vowel sounds of American English and get your body used to making the sounds accurately. You’ll find up to 100 words to help you train each vowel or diphthong sound into your muscle memory. If you can’t quite understand the pronunciation you’re hearing, you can play the audio at 50% speed.

One of the hardest things about the vowel and diphthong sounds in English is that there are so many. Lots of people come from a language with fewer sounds, so some of the sounds in English sound the same. There’s good news. You can start to hear the difference between vowels if you listen to enough pairs of words. You’re going to have all of the listening materials you need in this course. You have the videos to learn the concept, the audio to train the concept, and quizzes to test your ability to identify the correct word and sound—everything you need for a strong vowel and diphthong foundation.

I have difficulty pronuncing English terms for years. Having completed this course, I find it much easier and I am confident with my pronunciation. This is a really good course one has ever asked for.

It's a great course with tons of practices and comparisons that really help mastering the different sounds of vowels and diphthongs. I wish it had a function where it can record when I was repeating in the gaps so that I could hear myself in comparison with the correct pronunciation. I think hearing the difference helps to improve.

She studied with highly acclaimed vocal teachers and coaches and brings a body of detailed knowledge connected to the voice, placement, and the musical nature of speech to her work as a pronunciation teacher.
